Planning the test around a University of Guelph application

The English test is the only part of this application that is entirely within your control and entirely on your own schedule, which makes it the wrong thing to leave until last — and the thing most applicants leave until last.

• Work backwards from the deadline, not forwards from today. University of Guelph's typical deadline is May 15 (Fall). Results take time to issue and longer to be received and processed, and a resit needs a free slot plus another wait. • Do not book on a good practice day. Book when you are hitting the target consistently, including in your weakest section. A single strong mock is noise; three in a row is a signal.
