- What is an intake when studying abroad?
- An intake is the term in which a university starts new students. Most countries have a main intake (the one with the most programmes and funding) and one or two smaller secondary intakes. Picking the main intake usually gives you the widest choice.
- How early should I apply?
- Start 12–18 months before your intake and apply roughly 6–12 months ahead. Top universities and scholarships fill first, so applying early materially improves your chances.
